I go to work a little early on Fridays so I can leave early. The day flies by there is always so much going on.
A quiet weekend ahead is on tap in order to continue to get the kids well rested for the first week back to school.
As I was walking to the train this morning I was thinking we could do a movie night, but I couldn't think of anything good to watch.
Get It Done Tip: Facebook is an amazing tool for crowdsourcing, so I turned to it for my fun question of "What's a good family movie". Dozens of movie titles later I have a list that will last us a couple of years. Some movies I had forgotten about and other I never heard of so we did a preview of them on Apple TV and are psyched to watch them in the future.
All that said, my big boy dug in his heels and wanted no part of a new movie, so now here we are watching Willy Wonka again! Better luck next time.
I make dinner like a normal person on Friday (no night before prep!) so we had Taste of Home's one pan meal of Chicken Thighs with Shallots and Spinach. It was SO quick and we all liked it - except my big boy who ate it only because otherwise there wouldn't be a movie.
Everyone was starving so I was so busy dishing it out I forgot to take a pic -- luckily I found the recipe online and they have this fancy pic of it! |

Have a good weekend!
